Purple Friday started back in 2011 or 2012.  I didn't even have a purple shirt to my name.  There was a young lady in my chemistry class that always wore purple.  Her commitment to purple inspired me to declare "I'll buy a purple shirt and wear it every Friday".  We've been doing that ever since!

Friday is just a great day to celebrate as we get ready for the weekend.  We always wear purple on Fridays and sometimes we hand out purple candy to students who are wearing purple.

I graduated from Northwestern University with a Ph.D. in Chemistry.  Their colors are purple, white, and black. I have an intramural basketball team called...Purple Hayes!  Our friends have joined us and we have a small community of Purple Friday Fanatics in our area.  Just have some phun and wear purple on Fridays!
